eleven

oh my... it has been an astonishing 2 months (almost) since i've last written on the blog. shame. on. me. i've honestly been too busy to remember i even have a blog- but there have been days when i'd pull up my blog, and give a big blank stare at the empty white screen in front of me, and think, "i've got so much to say but so little time." and rather than say something short and sweet, i'd give up and "x" out of the blog.

so much has happened since my last post- and rather than go into everything now {we'll have so much time after the wedding is over}... i'm going to relish in this season of life's last moments as a single woman.. cause it's only a matter of eleven days that i become mrs. larson.

through this engagement, i've seen the lord work both big and small miracles, answer prayers, comfort amidst sorrow, quench a dry heart, calm a racing mind, restore faith to the faithless, and mold his creation in ways that i must say, i will never get to experience again... at least not in an 'engagement' season of life.

i've never seen a body counteract stress the way mine has done the last 6 months. i've never seen so many grey hairs sprout in such a short period of time {hair appointment THURSDAY! PRAISE JESUS}

all this to say, God is So Much Bigger than me. i look back on all these vivid memories and think, He was always there and always in control. the grey hairs are what i get for trying to take the reigns. it's so much harder to let go and let God- but it's the only way that works, for all you stubborn mules {like me} out there. seriously, vacation to the side of life thats immersed in the spiritual relm. it is only there that you will find peace. nothing here, even the most beautiful of vacation spots, can satisfy.

through spending time with God, we "gain glimpses of His overflowing vastness"

only He can satisfy. and the ways he satisfies may be hard to understand. but in the end, he will always satisfy.
