freedom from the unforgotten

some of my favorite moments in life don't always come at the peak of a mountain- or at the jawdropping scenery you experience on a safari in africa. rather- like yesterday evening and the evening prior, they are moments that could quite easily be mistaken as something all too common, since of course they happen frequently- yet the separation of the mundane from the extraordinary comes when the moment turns epic. nothing elaborate- all simply occuring on a couch, with blake, of course- the moment being, an epic conversation. these are some of my favorites.

we have a way of challenging each other to be better. i love these conversations because of that very reason. we can challenge, motivate, encourage, and strengthen one another all while maintaining the awareness of how each one of us responds to such things. often times, difficult/hard conversations aren't so difficult because of the way we approach eachother. cool? yes. but mostly a blessing? definately.

blessed beyond all measures. God knew what He was doing when He brought someone into my life who could help walk with me through hurt from the past- resurfacing things isn't so difficult when i know i can resurface them with someone who shows almost as much grace as our heavenly father. talk about a good example. there is always freedom from the unforgotten through the Lord, but an added bonus when conversations with blake drive me to recognize this freedom.

ignore the writing in the picture. i stole this from frolic . her face is so longing and hopeful, i find it refreshing and beautiful.
